Mr Viral Shah is a fellowship-trained specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon with two decades of surgical experience. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Mr Shah completed his medical degree and orthopaedic training internationally. He worked as an orthopaedic surgeon before moving to Australia, where he completed a fellowship. His extensive experience includes sub-speciality training in joint replacement, trauma and paediatric orthopaedics in Japan, the USA, along with St Vincent’s Hospital (Sydney) and The Alfred (Melbourne).
Mr Shah’s interests include less-invasive joint replacements, sports injuries and complex fractures. He also has expertise in paediatric orthopaedics. He treats a range of conditions including those of the hips, knees and shoulders.
Mr Shah is committed to delivering high quality medical care. He believes in incorporating technology into his practice and uses computer navigation in his knee replacement surgeries. He is also actively involved in medical education and is a member of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Educators Committee, as well as being an associate lecturer at Melbourne University.
