
Mr Adam Boyt

Mr Adam Boyt is a specialist in bariatric and general surgery with an emphasis on minimally invasive/laparoscopic techniques. He also performs a wide range of general surgery including complex hernia repairs.
Following the completion of a science degree (UWA Hons) in biochemistry and neurophysiology, he completed his PhD in molecular neurobiology concurrently with his medical training at the University of Melbourne. He then undertook general surgery training before completing his Fellowship in Bariatric Surgery at St John of God, Mt Lawley.
Since completion of his fellowship he worked as a bariatric and general surgeon in Perth, prior to moving back to Victoria. As well has his urban General and Bariatric experience, he has several years of extensive rural and remote general and trauma surgery experience in 4 states including places as varied as Broome, Broken Hill, Echuca, Derby, Mt Isa and Cairns. He maintains a keen interest in research and teaching and is married with three children.
