Runner’s Knee (Patellofemoral Pain)
Patellofemoral pain is often referred to as runner’s knee. This causes a dull, persistent pain around the front of the knee. As the name suggests, it is usually experienced by runners, as well as soccer players, cyclists, and other athletes who run a lot. Runner’s knee can usually be treated conservatively, with a focus on physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Complete recovery is anticipated after 2-3 months of rehabilitation.
